IELTS - International English Language Testing System

IELTS is widely accepted as a prerequisite for the University and Polytechnic entrance examinations in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada. It is also required for Permanent Residency in New Zealand. The IELTS examination evaluates the student's reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. There are two levels, General and Academic level courses at Taupo.

Duration	8 - 10 weeks minimum
Entry level	Intermediate (evidence of previous English study required)
Course Dates	IELTS classes are run continuously throughout the year
IELTS Exam	The closest testing centres are Hawkes Bay, Rotorua, Hamilton, Tauranga and Auckland. The school will book the students in to a convenient testing location. NZ $395.00 IELTS exam (including admin. fee) + transport
Class Size	Maximum of 10 students
Fees	NZ$2,960.00 on student visa discounted rate, or $3,040.00 otherwise, includes 15 hours general English per week +10 hours IELTS examination practice per week.
Content	Academic reading, writing, speaking and listening practice necessary for the IELTS exam.
Enrolment	Please fax an enrolment form confirming your dates. We will confirm with an invoice and Homestay placement.
Homestay	NZ$240.00 per week includes own room, study area, 3 meals per day. NZ$280.00 per week includes own room, study area, 3 meals per day, own bathroom and access to wireless internet.
