Cruise Lake Taupo and sail Barbary, a 1920s vintage sailing yacht won by Errol Flynn in a card game! Daily scenic cruises on Lake Taupo to the Maori Rock Carvings and along the Taupo lakefront. Barbary cruises are 2.5 hours long and depart the Taupo Boat Harbour at 10.30am and 2pm daily. Summer evening scenic cruise departs 5pm. Charters available. Simply sit back and relax on our spacious deck or help sail Barbary, set and trim the sails, helm the boat - all under the watchful eye of your experienced Captain Jamie Looner. No experience is necessary. Summer cruises may include a swim stop. Barbary has been operating for almost 30 years and is recommended as one of the must-do Taupo activities.
